D.      That the proposed amendment has been submitted in writing to the Chapter Corresponding
                       Secretary or President  who shall  distribute it  (in person, via  mail or email)  to the
                       membership at least three weeks prior to the Mothers’ Meeting in which the proposed
                       amendment will be considered.

               E.      All proposed amendments to  these Bylaws submitted to  the  Bylaw Committee  for
                       consideration shall be considered by the membership no earlier than the next Mothers’
                       Meeting following distribution to the membership. Submission to the membership shall be
                       accomplished once the amendment(s) is/are delivered to a Member in person, or sent to a
                       Member via mail, or electronically to the contact information provided in the most recent
                       version of the Membership Directory managed by the Membership Committee.

               F.      The National Organization may amend the NCB from time to time in a manner that requires
                       changes to these Chapter Bylaws in order to maintain their consistency with our national
                       governing documents. Such amendments and/or revisions language shall be made by the
                       Bylaws Committee Chair without the need for  a Chapter or Executive Board vote of
                       approval. Such changes shall subsequently be shared and disseminated with and to the
                       membership within thirty (30) days of the of the completion of the updates.

               Section 2:     Approved Amendments

                       Amendments approved at any Mothers’ Meeting shall become effective at the close of that
                       meeting unless otherwise stipulated.


                                               ARTICLE XV - Teen Matters


               Section 1.     Membership Eligibility
                       A.     Membership in the Teen group of this Chapter shall consist of the children (between

                              Active Members in Good Standing of Jack and Jill America Inc. – North Texas
                              Chapter.
                       B.     The active status of a Teen in this Chapter terminates when he/she reaches age
                              twenty (20) or when the Teen’s Member Mother withdraws her membership or falls
                              out of Good Standing with the Chapter, the Region or the National Organization.
               Section 2.     Membership Status
               A Leave of Absence by the Member Mother prohibits the participation of a Teen in the activities
               of the Organization at the Chapter, Regional and National levels during the leave period, unless
               otherwise authorized by the Chapter due to extenuating circumstances, as outlined in the National
               Organization’s governing documents.

               Section 3.     Approval of Teen Bylaw Revisions and Amendments
               Revisions and amendments of the Teen Bylaws (attached as Appendix G) shall be approved at any

               Teen Meeting (as required therein) and shall become effective once approved by the 2/3  Chapter
               Membership.
