Section 4: Joining Fees
A. National Joining Fee: the Joining Fee shall be paid to the National Treasurer no later

than May 31 . Therefore, the Joining Fee must be submitted to the Chapter’s Treasurer
at least two week(s) prior to the initiation ceremony and may be paid by check, cash,
cashier’s check, money order or Chapter-approved e-payment.
B. Regional Joining Fee: the joining fee for each new member shall be paid to the Chapter
Treasurer at least two weeks prior to the initiation ceremony and may be paid by check,
cash, cashier’s check, money order or Chapter-approved e-payment, The Joining Fee
must be paid to the Regional Secretary-Treasurer at the time the mother is initiated into the
Chapter and is due and payable along with the National joining fee by May 31 .

Section 5: Chapter Dues and Assessments
A. Active members must be financially current with the Chapter. This includes, but is not
limited to Chapter Dues, fees and assessments, and National/Regional per capita tax
assessments and fees.
B. Chapter Dues shall be determined annually, and shall be included in the budget submitted
by the Budget and Finance Committee and approved by the membership.

C. All Dues (Chapter Dues, Regional/National Per Capita Tax) are due and payable June 1 .
If Chapter Dues are not paid in full by September Mother’s meeting (postmarked no later
than the September Mother’s meeting, if sent by mail) the Member shall be assessed a
Chapter penalty of $50.00, after the September Mother’s meeting. All Dues-related
payments and penalties must be made by cash, cashier’s check, money order or other
chapter-approved e-payment system. Once paid, dues and penalties are NON-
REFUNDABLE.
If a Member fails to pay all required Dues - on November 1 the Member Mother’s

membership in the Chapter will be automatically terminated (see NPP for National
membership consequences). Any appeal must be made pursuant to the provisions
delineated under “Appeal of Involuntary Termination”, Article V, Section 4(C).
D. Initiation fees for prospective new members shall be set by the Budget and Finance
Committee.
E. Assessments.
1. The Chapter may upon majority vote, levy assessments, fees or penalties against its
Members, and establish a due date for payment of the obligation; such assessment,
fees or penalties become part of the Member’s financial obligations to the
Organization. NCB Article II, Section 5.
