survey. For all other methods, Quorum should be established as defined in Article X -
Quorum.
D. If present, members that do not have access to the voting system selected for a given matter
must be afforded an alternative method for casting their votes (which shall be explicitly
stated in the “Call for the Question” by the Chapter President).
E. The default voting standard for the Chapter is “by a majority of votes cast by the
Chapter Membership in Good Standing”.
ARTICLE XII - Fathers’ Auxiliary
The Chapter has the option of establishing a Fathers’ Auxiliary as a support group for the
Chapter. The spouse of a Good Standing Member within the Chapter is eligible to participate in
the Fathers’ Auxiliary.
ARTICLE XIII - Parliamentary Authority
The rules contained in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (“RONR”)
shall govern the Chapter in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not
inconsistent with these Bylaws and any governing documents or special rules of order which may
be adopted by the Region and/or the Organization.
ARTICLE XIV - Amendments
Section 1: Procedures
The Chapter’s Bylaws may be amended at any Mothers’ Meeting provided:
A. A Quorum is present.
B. That two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast are in favor of the proposed amendment. Note:
Such vote shall not be required however, to correct misspelled words and typographical
errors provided that the correction does not require additional language or change the
meaning of the provision. The membership will be notified of such corrections within thirty
(30) days of the change by communication from the Bylaws Chairperson through
dissemination by the Corresponding Secretary.
C. That the proposed amendment has been submitted in writing to the chairperson of the
Bylaws Committee at least four weeks prior to the Mothers’ Meeting in which the
proposed amendment will be considered.
