Members with Jack and Jill of America, Inc. traditions and proper protocol
observances; provide support to Members to ensure proper protocol for officer
visits; annually review the protocol section of the National Member Manual and
make recommendations to the Chapter in accordance therewith. The Protocol
Chairperson shall serve as chairperson of this committee and shall be appointed
by the President. The Protocol Chair shall report to the Executive Board on behalf
of this Committee.

13. The Publicity Committee shall assist in the preparation of the Chapter’s
submission for “UP THE HILL”, and foster a positive image of the Organization
in the community and the media. The Chapter Editor shall serve as the chairperson
and shall report to the Executive Board on behalf of this Committee.

16. The Teen Committee shall be led by the Teen Sponsor who shall serve as
chairperson and shall be appointed by the Chapter President. It shall be the duty of
the Teen Sponsor to:

a. Serve as a liaison between the Chapter (specifically the Teen Committee)
and the Regional/National Organization regarding all matters that affect the
Teen Group.

b. The Teen Sponsor shall serve for one-half term (1 year), but no more than
one total term (2 years).

c. Serve as a guide and coordinator of the Teen Group.

d. Shall assist in coordinating the efforts of the Teen Committee for the benefit
of the Teen Group (especially for Teen Conference).

e. This Committee shall report to the Program Director who shall report to the
Executive Board on behalf of this Committee.

B. Standing Committee Chairpersons: shall be appointed by the Chapter President and
serve concurrent terms to the Chapter President that appoints them (unless removed at the
privilege of the Chapter President). Exception: that these Bylaws specifically provide for
a specific officer to serve as chairperson of a given committee. In such cases, the
officer/committee chairperson will serve as long as they hold the relevant office.

Section 3: Special/Ad Hoc Committees

Special/Ad Hoc Committee appointments and chairships shall be made by the Chapter President
with the approval of the Executive Board. The term of service of the members shall at the privilege
of the appointing Chapter President, but at most shall run concurrent with the appointing Chapter
President’s term of service. Each Special/Ad Hoc committee shall perform duties within the scope,
