d. Shall review requests for membership to determine eligibility.
e. Shall communicate with prospective members of the organization, process
all membership applications, and report to Chapter Executive Board on the
membership intake process.
f. Maintain an updated Membership Directory for use by the Chapter for
official distributions and contacting the Membership.
g. Develop and implement strategies to grow the Chapter’s membership.
h. This committee is responsible for planning interesting and meaningful
social events that will involve all members of the Organization.
i. It is also the responsibility of this committee to arrange for the entertainment of
visiting officers on the Regional and National level.
9. The Nominating & Elections Committee is responsible for managing the biennial
nomination and election of Chapter officers. The Nominating Committee shall be
composed of five (5) members, one from each Grade-Group (Article V, Section
1(C)(2)), as elected by a majority of the Members in Good Standing at the
December’s Mothers’ Meeting. The Chairperson shall be the person receiving
the highest number of votes and shall report directly to the Executive Board. The
Nominating Committee shall present candidates for Chapter Officers at the March
Mothers’ Meeting. Nominations may also be made from the floor. Voting shall be
held at the April Mothers’ Meeting. This Committee and the Chapter’s election
process shall be governed by the National Nominating and Election Procedures in
conjunction with any Chapter procedures that are not in conflict therewith.
11. The Program Committee shall assume responsibility for planning
Chapter-Sponsored Events and Grade-Group Activities. Shall consist of
(at a minimum) a member of each the Grade-Group. A Member in her
first year may not hold the position of primary Grade-Group Sponsor;
however, she may serve as a co-chair. If a Grade-Group Sponsor fails to
fulfill her duties, she may be removed from her position by a majority
votes cast by the Membership in Good Standing. A Quorum is required.
The Program Director shall serve as the Chair of this Committee and
shall report to the Executive Board on behalf of this Committee.
12. The Protocol Committee shall work to enhance all events within the Chapter. It
shall address proper protocol for meetings, fundraisers, gifts, courtesies, invitations
and special situations. Specifically, it shall advise the Chapter to ensure compliance
with ceremonial procedures; educate members on the importance of protocol; assist
