lot harder and “splosh” went the hammer. He had broken through the ice.
“They will be alright now, Grandpa”, he said.
They all climbed back into the tractor and Grandpa drove them back to his
pickup.
“it’s over to you now to take the tractor back as I am going to drive the pickup”,
said Grandpa.
Harry took charge and put the tractor into gear. James steered and the girls
worked the lights and wipers.
When they got back home, Granny was waiting with lovely freshly made cakes
for all to enjoy.
