What type of company is best and worst for you? Describe a position you held that you should not have accepted.
I have worked in very large and very small companies. They both can be great. I think the key is to have a company
with a team that works together for a common goal. There must be open, honest communication with the most
important skill of listening used in every facet of the business. I’ve been in a position where the leader of the
company subscribed to the philosophy of “just do what I say”. This style does not promote creativity or make a
healthy work environment.
Describe your quality assurance experience.
While at Raytheon Aircraft, I led the team that did the flight test and delivery of aircraft. Completion of all quality
assurance inspections and documentation was imperative to the success of our business. At Honda, I was intimately
involved in creating the work processes for FAA type certification of the HondaJet. I worked closely with engineers,
FAA designees and quality inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations, directives, and drawings.
How would you describe your core competencies? Describe what you like to do most and least; can be in business
or your personal life.
My core competencies are aviation technical aptitude and organizational development. I enjoy working with others
to find solutions to difficult problems. It is also very satisfying to grow a unit, division, or company. There are
unique challenges with each opportunity. I look at them as growth experiences. I like interacting with different
personalities. It validates that there’s more than one way to communicate.
What are your long-term goals and ambitions and why do you think you would fit within this company?
I’d like to grow with a company. I’m a firm believer that if you do your work well and work well with others, the
rewards with come. In each company that I’ve been in, I have been able to turn the above beliefs into success.
IOMAX is a company that provides a unique product and service to its market. I think I’d fit in to IOMAX because of
my unique experiences in the aviation world.
