BUILDING A FUTURE
As the Season of 2016/17 drew to a close the club could reflect on a season which again set new records of achievement. The youth team surpassed any previous successful season with a triple triumph. Playing for the first time in the Blues B Division they took the title while playing attractive and expansive rugby.
They topped that with a second successive Breconshire Youth Cup win against a very strong Gwernyfed team. However, the icing on the cake came when they won, for the first time in the Club’s history, the Heart of Wales Youth Cup. Their victory over Division A side Mountain Ash was nothing but outstanding, particularly after having lost heavily to the same team in the previous year’s final. Continued on pg 2...
