The play.

Once the declarer has announced the contract, play begins.

The original lead is made by the player on declarer’s left.
Remember: dummy plays second to the first trick.

We play our cards in front of us (not in a pile in the centre of the
        table).
When a trick is finished we turn the card face down pointing to the
        side that won the trick.

The player who won the trick leads to the next trick.

We will finish with the cards like this -

We have won 9 tricks here.

        Scoring.

When you finish the hand, you score like this -
        • If you are successful in your contract the first 6 tricks do not
               count.
        • For the first scoring trick (trick 7) you score 40 points.
        • For all other tricks, including the tricks you made extra, you score
               30 points.
        • If you went game and were successful, you score a bonus of 300.
        • A part score gets you a bonus of 50.
        • If you are not successful you lose 50 points for every trick you are
               short.

On the hand above where you made 9 tricks you would score like this -

9 tricks made is 3 scoring tricks.
You get 40 for the first and 30 each for the others. A total of 100.
