Tomorrow I'm going to make a report of my exact observations, but before you
get my report chewed through, there are three things we have to do – and
they’re going to hurt. We are of course going back to the farm to gather further
evidence, we must create a case about Kräsen, and we should try to contact
Gustav Kräsen. Also, we have to go to the police archive once again and collect
documents about them and their affiliates. Once those things are in place, then
we are ready. Everyone, take care and be aware. Let’s start movin’,” says Tom
with a serious expression on his face.
"Yes, I totally agree," Olina nods with a tired expression in her eyes. “We have to
get on their arse - Claire and Kräsen, who else could be this deeply rooted in this.
I'll construct a plan tomorrow based on our records. For now, I need to go home
and get some rest; I’m tired as hell."
She gestures, smiling at them both, and with her jacket on her arm she leaves the
office.
When the door closes behind her, they both walk towards the window with a
glass of wine in their hands, and for a moment looking out into the distance,
watching the snowfall in complete tranquillity. The silence is broken by Olina's
grey Porsche Cayenne starting up and driving past the window, disappearing
around the corner towards Langebro in the direction of Copenhagen centre.
"Well, good night," Tom says, pressing his old colleague's hand. "I’m heading off
too."
"Well, of course. Hurry up. See you tomorrow, I'll sleep at the office tonight,”
replies Bjørn.
