something, you immediately tell him? Now, begone," Ordered Christen.

Kim was completely unprepared for the hard smack to his head that came with
                   the words.

Although it was weeks ago now, Kim could still recall the soreness after

the slap. He didn’t know when he was going to see Christen again, but he knew
that if he had nothing to tell, his brother would hit him again.

"Who’ve made copies?" Asked adviser Sacher as he finished laughing. He
got up from the couch where he has been resting prior to the young man’s

entrance. To know that the little brother of Christen looked so odd, with his scary
eye and his spiking hair was almost too much for him. Kim reminded him of a

                   hedgehog.

"Sir. Hinterglau. The Berliner. It’s him who orders the pictures that Dieter
                   Stormann fetches, "Kim said.

Sacher broke out into laughing again. Changing his face. But suddenly it dawned

on him, who Kim was talking about and he squelched the laugh.
The adjutant fought his smile, as Kim briefly told him how Dieter

Stormann regularly obtained photographs of art by the photomaker Martzen.
"Christen told me, that I should tell you anything that I see, which I do not

understand. I don’t understand why they need two pictures of the same

painting," said Kim, chopping his words short.
Sacher dug out some coins from his pocket and pressed them in Kim’s

                   hand.

"Beat it! Come back again as soon as you observe anything divergent.
Christen is my good companion, and I trust what you say. "

Once again, Kim was clattering over the cobblestones, while Adrian

Sacher knocked on the door of his superior.

Uno Hinterglau didn’t hear the steps, before someone knocked on his

door. Concentrated, he was sitting bent over the typewriter and wrote down the
                   work of the day.

"Come in," he shouted absentminded, without removing his eyes from the
pile of papers on the table.
