 Pastor Choi Sang-rim was born in Gijang-myeon,
            William M. Junkins (Korean name: Jeon Wi-ryeom)  who entered
 Yangsan-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do in November
            Korea as a missionary from the Southern Presbyterian
 1888, and after graduating from Pyongyang
            Church in the United States visited Jeonju in September
 Theological Seminary, he was appointed to
            1893 by land and moved to Seoul. In 1894, missionary
 Namhae Eup Church in 1930. He planted churches

 the first church in Namhae-gun, established a
 monument to Pastor Choi Sang-rim in 1998 to
 honor his martyrdom.
 In May 2006, the church ended the life for more
 than 90 years at Bukbu-ri, moved to its current
 martyrdom monument of Pastor   location by completing four-story chapel, and is
 Choi Sang-rim.  Namjeon Church, Iksan Presbytery designated as No. 1 Historic Church of the Korean Presbyterian Church
 striving to spread the gospel to the new generation.
