The letter Mem seems to be intimately intertwined with Purim.
Most of today‟s mitzvos start with
This joke makes use of the a Mem: Mikra Megila, Mishloach
letter מ,.Granted מ is not as Manos, Matanos Lievyonim, and
funny a letter as פ or צ but Mishte V‟Simcha. In investigating
being that it's Purim we the Mem/Purim phenomenon we
felt we could pull it off can‟t help but take note that there
was a reacceptance of kabalas ha-
Torah on Purim and the achdus at
that time mirrored that of Maamad Har Sinai. So, the Mem phe-
nomena began at Maamad Har Sinai. Moshe Rabeinu, who
brought us the Torah, has a name that starts with a Mem and he
was on Har Sinai for 40 days which is the number equivalent of
Mem. We tried to discuss this with some of the Gedolim that
have visited our city lately. The Shtiekadiker Rebbe was pre-
dictably silent on the matter. But the Lichtadiker Rebbe, illumi-
nated the whole issue. He pointed out that it says in Mishlei,
Nichnas yayin yotzey sod, when wine enters secrets leave. On a
holiday where there is an emphases on drinking wine, we have
to be more vigilant than usual to keep our secrets secret. As a
reminder of that, most of the mitzvos of the day start with a
Mem to remind us to be mum as we imbibe. Remember: Mum‟s
        the word.

Meshenichnas Adar Marbim B‟Simcha. When Adar starts we
should increase our rejoicing. Many people think that only ap-
plies from Rosh Chodesh Adar until Pu-
Come on, it's not rim. However, there is still another ½ a
that long of a month of joy after Purim that we are sup-
         joke,.Why not just
read the whole thing posed to take advantage of. The problem
instead of this box that arises, is that after Purim it‟s the offi-
cial start of the Pesach Cleaning Season.
How can we experience the Adar joy of
the month with the daunting task of cleaning our entire house.
