Scientific inventions: A blessing or a curse?

It is science that has provided ease, leisure and pleasure to our lives. It has brought within all common people the path of
comfort and luxury that in past were available to a privileged few only. Scientific inventions have given us so much have
given us all so much. Science has invented marvellous machines and discovered energies that run these machines and save

time. These machines take drudgery out of peoples work. The dream of an easy and luxurious life has become true for all.
From the bollock carts to metros, from the hearth to gas stove, candles to LED lights is all science. By doing work fast,
machines have provided man leisure. Distances have been conquered. Modern transportation and communication have

taken a bust. Messages, videos, news, calls everything can travel across with lightening speed. Internet has brought
people of world together and brought about a change in fields like information and communication. Even in lock down,
from all different areas we still can communicate, talk to each other, man has already landed on moon and man-made

satellites have trips all over solar systems. Online platforms have portrayed as entertainment as well as educational
channels. Our lives have become healthier. Modern hygiene, sanitation, medicine and surgery have been beneficial.
Online lectures, classes, seminars can be held in this pandemic only due to technology and science.
Though we have wonderful blessing of science we need to look at the other side of the picture also. Everything has its

own pros and cons. Even science has. Man hasn't been that much aware of cons of science. Factories a science gift,
pollutes water, air and also causes noise pollution which is harmful. Industrialization has caused slums area. We have
allowed science to master us instead of keeping it a servant. Again, science has put in our hands terrible weapons like

nuclear bombs, the missiles and the means of chemical and biological warfare. Even in lock down online fraud haven't
been less. Cyber-crime has become online weapon. Some fool people on giving their lottery offers and break into their
banks. Online exams beings conducted students also get easy access to internet for copying.
We are in danger of destroying ourselves with these monstrous means that, technically, are our own creations. “Nothing

is more irredeemably irrelevant than bad science” rightly said by John Charles Polanyi. Science is both good and bad it
depends on us how we use it. Correctly used science can bring heaven to earth. Wrongly used, it can turn this earth to hell.
