AFFILIATION
1. To be eligible to participate in the affiliation a student must have successfully passed all
nursing courses in the First Year and Second Year Level.
2. Attendance to the orientation at the affiliated hospital is a must.
3. For the safety of pregnant students, they shall be allowed to join the affiliation after giving
birth.
CLINICAL GRADUATION AND UNIVERSITY GRADUATION
A Level IV student must have finished all of their coursework and met all academic
requirements, including RLE from Levels I through IV, in order to be able to graduate from university.
In order to qualify for the Clinical Graduation, the student needs to fulfill all research requirements
and OR/DR cases. A student who has failed or earned incomplete grades in their general education
courses may still participate in the clinical graduate program provided they pass all of their nursing
courses.
Requirements for Graduation
1. For Regular students:
a. Completion of all academic requirements and subjects including NSTP.
b. No outstanding financial and/or other obligations to the school. For this purpose, a
clearance is secured from the proper school authorities.
Academic Honors
1. To qualify for academic honors for graduation the following conditions must be met:
a. Required weighted average of grades from first year to fourth year is at least 90%.
b. Grades in Cum Laude (90-93 with no lower than 85), Magna Cum Laude (94 – 97 with
no grade lower than 85), and Summa Cum Laude (98 – 100 with no grade lower than
85), including P.E., cannot be lower than 95%. However, NSTP is not included,
regardless of whether the student transferred to another institution or took a different
course.
c. For full-time students, full load according to the semestral curricular offering; for working
students, full load minus one (1) subject.
d. Resident of at least two years in CSU.
2. Honors and their Percentage Equivalents
a. The Registrar, Program Coordinator, and Dean serve as the Chairman of the Committee
on Awards and Graduation, which is tasked with reviewing and approving the academic
records of applicants for graduation and academic awards.
b. The Registrar can provide guidance on the necessary paperwork and documentation to
be completed and sent to the Civil Service Commission in order to convert Academic
Honors into eligibility for civil service (PD 907).
IV. Related Learning Experience
1. Requirement for Clinical Duty
A. Physical Exam
a. Medical certificate must be secured from the University Physician
b. A mandatory pregnancy test will be conducted before the start of clinical duty.
c. In case of a positive pregnancy test result, the student will be allowed for clinical
rotation after giving birth.
