                      Sir,
                           In continuation of the correspondence ending’ with my letter
                      No. 76-S., dated the 19th January, I have the honour to forward
                 No. 22-0,. dat ed 'January 1922.} herewith a copy of a memorandum
                      from the Political agent, Bahrain, (giving cover to a petition made
                      to him by 64 represent stive Bahrainis. I have retained tho original
                     petition and only for;:ardod tho translation.
                          The matters referred to in Bahrain letters 12-^rnd 13-0 were
                      dealt with in my letter jbove-montionod,
                           I think there can bo little doubt that Sheikh «bdulla is at
                     the bottom of these affaire, and that best way to quiet matters
                     would be to insist on Sieikh Psa agreeing* to deport him as was done
                     in tho case of sheikh «li bin alined in 1905, and hope that. Govern^

                     ment will be pleased to give this proposal their serious considera­
                     tion.
