Overall: Has not worked in a role as senior as the Assistant Director of Finance position. Has not
managed a team of comparable size, currently supervises four. Communicated a believable
passion for Government work. Has an interesting background, having worked with the
federal government in Washington D.C. and State of Arizona. Had done a decent amount of
research - was well-prepared. Strong leader type, good energy level- confident but not
arrogant, well-poised. Strong communicator - elaborated on points well - used examples -
spoke directly to the essence of the questions, internalized the questions well.
Overall: Is intelligent, a rising star, I would say, but perhaps too junior in his career. An
interesting candidate who may still be worth considering.
