I have done my due diligence to make sure people are held accountable. For the most par the teams I have
               managed have been collegial ­ I have also led the treasury and CFO council ­ I will directly lead 3­4 of those
               engagements with the bureau of CFOs. I am very familiar with engaging at different levels. I have also done
               public speaking.


               8.  Please describe a situation in which you had influence on increasing the effectiveness of a team of people
                 or a department. What measures did you take to contribute to employee motivation and staff
                 development?


                 We made all of the staff ­ the supervisors ­ some of the direct reports to the Deputy CFO ­ we had lessons on
                 how we could use radical candor in our organization to improve staff development.


                 Every year we do federal survey around employee engagement and performance. We will evaluate that and
                 improve on our approach to make sure everyone is having a good experience.

               I was leading the president's budget ­ I got a call from the Secretary ­ to thank me for that process. I think my
               age could be an asset ­ depending on what they're looking for.
