Grilled Avocado Sandwich
Try this in place of a grilled cheese sandwich and I think you will be pleasantly surprised! I know it
seems like a strange combination, but it works. The only question left is to dip in ketchup or not
to?
INGREDIENTS
• slices of bread Makes 1 sandwich
• large avocado 360 calories per sandwich
• tbsp miso paste (without optional vegan butter)
• tbsp di on mustard Macros :
• several slices of thinly cut red onion 14g Protein 43g Carbs 16g Fat
• tsp garlic powder
• Pinch of black pepper
Optional: - tsp vegan butter to butter outside
of bread (if grilling)
METHOD
. Spread miso paste evenly on one side of each piece of bread.
. Spread mustard evenly on top of miso paste.
. Add sliced avocado on one side of the bread (that has the miso mustard on it).
. Add thinly sliced red onion to the other side of bread (that has the miso mustard on it).
. Put both sides of the bread together to make a sandwich. ou can eat it as is or grill it (I recommend
grilling it!).
. Butter outside of each piece of bread with - tsp vegan butter. In a preheated pan, grill each side
of the sandwich until golden brown. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
