However the physical event had to be called off due to

the onset of the third wave of the pandemic in the

country. It was finally decided to have a 4-day

conference virtually. It was held on the 20th, 21st, 22nd

and 23rd of May 2021. There were only evening

sessions from 7.15 to 9.30pm on Thursday and Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday there were morning sessions

from 10.30am to 12.30pm and afternoon sessions from

4pm to 6.30pm.

Many renowned personalities such as Mr. Sidath Wettimuny, PDG Rtn. Gowri Rajan, Mr. Viresh

Cooray, Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya, Dr. Rohantha Athukorala and Mr. Gehan Blok appeared

throughout the course of the conference for enlightening discussions. Other noteworthy sessions

included a panel discussion on Sponsorship etiquette, a influential discussion on environment

conservation and addresses by the District Governor, DRR, DRRE and DRRN.

The Pappa awards was a fun highlight at the end of the conference where recognition was given to

certain characters in the Rotaract arena. This increased the engagement of Rotaractors all

throughout the conference.
