"Well, here we are allowed to feel things and to talk
about them. Izzie is a bit of a bully. But I think you did
the right thing by walking away. You wouldn't want to
tangle with him. But you didn't let him keep it up. He's
not really a bad kid, just a little unmanageable."
"Well, how do I let those feelings come up?" asked
Twinkle.
"Just watch me!" laughed Mirabel. "But if you see me
boiling over, you can help me to calm it down a bit. We'll
help each other. Let's practise jumping up and down just
for fun."
One day there was a very good example of angry
fighting when Twinkle came to play after school. Mirabel
was showing Twinkle her doll Meredith, with all the cute
clothes and accessories. Twinkle looked Meredith over
very carefully and started to work the legs back and forth.
Alarmed, Mirabel said, "Please stop doing that!"
"I just want to see what's holding the legs on and
what's inside her. In my old school we took things apart
all the time," replied Twinkle calmly, as she kept on
twisting the legs.
