A woman's voice came over the speaker announcing

that they were moving across the prairies. The two girls

looked out their window and saw golden and green fields

below, like a patchwork quilt. They remembered their

own flight in the balloon, when they saw fields like that.

Of course, they were much higher up now, too high to

see the individual houses or trees. The flight attendant

came by and asked the girls if they would like to visit the

cockpit and say hello to the pilot. That does not happen

very often, but this flight was not jam-packed. Of course

they said yes and followed the woman to the front of the

plane.

A small door opened onto the most amazing array of

dials and instruments. The pilot, Gallina Renard said,

"I feel we may have met before." They looked at her
green eyes and red hair, and wondered where that could

have been.
