1. Program Profile
1.1 Program Mission
The mission of the program is “Preparation of distinct engineering staff specialists in mechanical
engineering able to cope with the needs of the labor market and providing innovative research
and unique community services in the framework of innovation, quality, independence, and
ethical values”. The mission is currently displayed on the official website of the department.

1.2 Program Goals
In the Mechanical Engineering program, we have used the mission as the basis for the
establishment of the program's goals and objectives. Our goals for the development of the
program are consistent with and support the mission. They are stated with sufficient clarity to
effectively guide planning and decision-making in ways that are consistent with the mission. Goals
and objectives are periodically reviewed and reaffirmed or modified as necessary in the light of
changing circumstances to ensure they continue to support the mission.
The Goals of Mechanical Engineering (MENG)Program are:
G1: Preparing the engineer who is able to keep pace with modern technological developments
and deal with them with high efficiency Improving the quality of teaching and learning.
G2: Preparing and qualifying the engineer scientifically and practically to be able to enter the
competition in the local labor market and regional.
G3: Developing the capabilities and skills of the engineer for self-learning, and developing his
capabilities for study and research and the acquisition of the ability to learn throughout
life.
G4: Developing a program of graduate studies.
G5: Development and support of scientific research.
These goals are mentioned and cleared on the mechanical engineering department website.
