Kelowna Volunteer Fire Brigades
The fire hall,
belonging to the
Volunteer Fire
Brigade, was also a
social centre within
the community.
There was
considerable social
pressure belonging to
the local volunteers
and often became a
starting point for
a political career.
Ceremonial
occasions with
uniforms were
very important.
