was appointed
Chief of the
City Fire Brigade.
This resolution
was effective
immediately
from this date.
The Official 1906 Brigade Team:
Fire Chief Jas. Bowes, Vice-Chief Ed Elworthy,
Sec-Treasurer H. Fraser, Engineer E. Newby
Hose Reel Team No.1: A.L. Meugens, H. Small, Spalding, Phair, Murray.
Hose Reel Team No.2: M. Jenkins, H. Newby, F. McClure, L. Bailey, G.A. McKay
Engine Team: N. Thompson, J.B. Knowles, A. Raymer, W. Lloyd-Jones, O.D. Ranks,
F.M. Buckland, F. Small
Purchased by the City of
Kelowna from the Waterous
Engine Co. in September 1906
for the sum of $3,055.
This portable gas engine was
capable of throwing 250
gallons per minute over the
highest buildings in town.
The fire engine was sold to the
Kelowna Machine Shop
in October 1936.
