progressions. They also engaged in ensemble performance, career education, and
the historical context of music.
Art & Craft (Visual Arts)
Visual Arts students in Years 9–10 developed skills in pen and ink drawing,
weaving, painting, printing, carving, and construction. After two years of study,
students are expected to demonstrate creative and critical thinking, express
personal and cultural perspectives, appreciate the work of others, and cultivate
enterprising skills through the arts.
Acknowledgements
The PEMAC Department gives thanks to Almighty God for His guidance and
protection throughout the years at Nilsen College. We extend our sincere
appreciation to the school principal and administrative team for their ongoing
support in ensuring the department’s smooth operation.
Special recognition is given to our dedicated teachers, the magazine committee,
and all contributors whose collective efforts have enabled us to fulfill our
responsibilities and compile this annual report.
We also wish to express heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Milamila for her exceptional
service to the department over the past eight years. We congratulate her on her
new appointment as Acting HOD PEMAC at Tavua College in Term 2, 2025.
Finally, we gratefully acknowledge the support of the Ministry of Education, Fiji
Water Grant Assistance, and other stakeholders whose contributions have enabled
us to acquire essential resources for the department.
