Miranda Donovan is a London based painter sculptor. Donovan studied art in both France and
the UK. She has won a number of awards for painting, including the Stainers Painting Prize
and the Kidd Ramient Painting Prize all on graduating from her third BA Honors degree (two
in Fine Art and one in History of Art) in 2005.
Miranda Donovan describes her work as sculptural paintings. Donovan constructs three-
dimensional painting surfaces that are a hybrid of assemblage art and graffiti. Her work
explores the human condition through constant investigation into the darker sides of urban
life and its decay.
Donovan has exhibited work throughout the UK, Europe and the US. Her painting can be
found in a number of notable collections: lord Edward Spencer Churchill, Jeremy Clarkson
and Frank Cohen.
