Baptisms

a study about God Himself. Therefore it will take a christian a
lifetime and into eternity, to know all there is to know about
                the HOLY SPIRIT.

This study is not about the Holy Spirit in detail but it is
necessary to have at least a brief understanding of Him and
His work, particularly in the church and the world now.

The Title-the TRINITY, meaning a group of three, who are
one; is the term used of God; the Father, the Son and the
                Holy Spirit.

The HOLY SPIRIT is mentioned right at the beginning of the
Bible in the account of creation. Genesis1 v1,2 'In the
beginning God greated the heavens and the earth. Now
the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over
the deep and the Spirit of God was hovering over the
                waters.'

From a study of the Bible it can be seen that the HOLY
SPIRIT is the one who carries out the work of God. Although
the Holy Spirit is an individual person, He only carries out the
that which is instructed by the God the Father and God the
                Son.

Jesus explained this to His disciples in John 16 v13, 'But
when He, the SPIRIT of truth, comes, He will guide you
into all truth. He will not speak on His own; but only
what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.

Jesus goes on to explain in v 15 'All that belongs to the
Father is mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take
from what is mine and make it known to you.'

When Jesus left this earth, after His death, resurrection and
ascension, He did not leave His disciples (those 2,000 years
