are capable of recognising this? Very few, so few can see
God.
When the Spirit chooses to incarnate it does so in the full
knowledge of the potential pitfalls that await it, including
awareness of the spiritual ignorance that prevails within
human society. Every Spirit will commit themselves to the
spiritual education of humankind. One of the major lessons
life will hold for them is the power that the ego posses and
that it can over power the Spirit whilst it is incarnate and
confined within the soul body. The power of the ego is so
great that those who are engrossed within it, cannot know
their own spiritual ignorance. It is a beautiful thought that
there would be a welcoming reception for the incarnating
Spirit rather than a celebration of the birth of the physical
child. Its rather like when someone buys a new car and
collects it from the garage, the arrival of the new car is toasted
and the driver who had gathered the money, chose the vehicle,
drives it and keeps it fuelled, and maintains it, gets less
recognition of these qualities than the car gets for its looks
and practical potential. How many of us can look at a
newborn child and see God? How many look at the newborn
for it's looks and practical potential? Rather than rush to
answer these questions leave then unanswered for the present,
as often we answer ourselves from our ignorance rather than
our wisdom, from our ego rather than our Spirit. This is why
we need to realise God is not going to save us, or the child.
