way. Up to this point in the child's life it has been under the
care and protection of it's parents and God parents, and maybe
other responsible adults or older siblings. The initiation
introduces the child to the adult world and all the
responsibility that it carries, such as responsibility to oneself
and responsibility for oneself. Maybe we can look at this
another way, responsibility for what is caused to us and
responsibility for what we cause. We would remind you that
you predetermined this life and no matter how you might try
to shed this responsibility it will always come back to you,
and what's more it is nobody's fault not even your own, and
could not have been any other way.

This is the period in a child's life where it gets the opportunity
to test out what it learnt in it's previous years, but without the
same protection as before. Every action it takes will be
assessed on how it is responded to. The over protective parent
will not recognise the need for them to play a different role.
Parents need to show the child how to handle the response to
their action whereas before it was for the parent to show the
child how to act. This can be a very difficult period for the
parents as it will show them where their educating the child
has let the child down. Now again remember the parent who
feels challenged by this statement can learn how to correct
this by studying their response to these words. They will need
to remember that they did their best at all time and at that time
it was the best they could do. If they learn from their response
then they will know what to do should there be a next time,
and should they learn it is unlikely that there will be a next
time. This type of experience might take generations to
resolve and sometimes many lifetimes for the Spirit to
