The church has a challenging time getting men to serve because it is difficult to distinguished between church work
and the work of the church. Howard Hendricks writes, men may see church as two churches; the church ,
and the church . Church work happens at the church building with 10 to 20 percent of the church men involved.
The work of the church goes on during the week, wherever men of the church may be. When I am asked, where is
TRIM? I respond, at 8 and 11 o'clock on Sunday Mornings and 7 o'clock on Wednesday Night TRIM is at 2838 Palm Bay
Road. But at eleven o'clock on Monday morning TRIM is all over our communities in offices, schools, homes, L3Harris,
Patrick Space Force Base and hundreds of other places (including national and international). The work of TRIM is for
100 percent of the believers, 100 percent of the time. So, men, don't think of serving God has to take place at TRIM's
building, but we serve God just as well in our homes and at our jobs. So, what is that one or two things that bring men
to church. I believe it's the leader that attracts and pulls men to the church. Bishop Merton L. Clark, Lead Pastor of
Truth Revealed International Ministries and Ministry Leader of Abishai Inspired Men's (AIM) Ministry. In his first
introduction to new members (men and women), Bishop Clark asks, "are you an asset or liability." This "ask" is the
beginning of assimilation.
To belong, connect, grow, and serve are the "asset" steps created by Bishop Merton L. Clark to help new members
assimilate to Truth Revealed International Ministries and build a relationship with Jesus Christ. Bishop is strategically
connecting to men.
When men are focused on belonging, connecting, growing, and serving, a "portal" opens to them with endless
opportunities to meet and experience the wonderful life of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
For many men, the journey is smooth, and the relationship strengthens between men and with God. However, there
are a few men whose journey is slow and hectic as they struggle with establishing a relationship with men and accepting
Jesus Christ in their lives. For the men who are struggling with their journey and their hectic lives, there is hope and
that hope is in a gathering that pulls men to the "center of their struggle." That gathering is called a "Men's Conference.
