fied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold
increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who
brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and
waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. He gave you manna to
eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well
with you. You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But
remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which
he swore to your forefathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:11-18 NIV
Much has been recorded over the years about our routines, behaviors, and habits. These disciplines or habits are essential
practices of highly successful, efficient, and excellent Christians, men, women, or high-achieving youths.
Stewardship Is a Part of Discipleship
God has given us a dream to realize an ever-expanding network of household wells so that every neighborhood,
community, church, city, and region becomes a place where refreshment, peace, hope, joy, and grace are freely
distributed to all. This dream for our neighborhoods and communities will be realized as each Jesus-centered household
accesses and shares the Living Water with the parched and thirsty next door.
Since stewardship is a part of discipleship, and discipleship is a journey, not a
destination—for each of us, we hope that forming certain disciplines will help
us refocus our efforts on becoming the best stewards we can in life.
God Rewards Stewardship
This stewardship extends beyond financial management; it encompasses a
broader mandate to steward the earth and its resources, reflecting our role as
caretakers of God's creation. Christians are called to allocate funds wisely to
further God's work, ensuring that our giving supports the spread of the Gospel!
In our stewardship, we are also tasked with multiplying the gifts God has
given us through effort and investment, whether those gifts are talents, time,
or treasure. Accountability is key, as we must account for our stewardship
actions by demonstrating transparency and integrity.
