                  C.   Adjectives

                  -An adjective describes a noun. Put an adjective before a noun.

                  a large house                a small garden
                  my new car                   brown eyes

                  -Put an adjective after be.

                  My house is large.           The garden is small.
                  My car is new.               His eyes are brown.

                  -An adjective does not have a plural form.

                  a large house                a new car
                  three large houses           five new cars

                  C2.   Write five sentences. Put an adjective in each sentence.

                  D.   Direct objects

                  Every sentence must have a subject (S) and a verb (V). Some sentences also have a direct
                  object (D.O). the direct object is directly after the verb. There is nothing between the verb and
                  the direct object. The direct object is usually a noun. Sometimes the noun has an adjective or
                  an article (a, an, the).  The direct object answers the question “what?” or “who?”.

                  Jim usually   has  what?     For lunch.   (sandwich)
