Start to Write 1

1. Maria is one of my classmates. She is from Colombia and speaks Spanish. Bogota is
the capital city of Colombia. Maria is tall and pretty. She smiles a lot and is an excellent
student.
2. My father is a businessman. Everyday he has breakfast with his family and then goes
to word. He has brown eyes and curly brown hair. He words in his office all morning
and then usually has lunch at a restaurant. He works until 5:00 in the afternoon and
then comes home. He is happy to be at home at the end of a busy day.
3. My composition class is in an old building. The classroom walls are white and the
desks and chairs are brown. There are large windows in one wall. The chalkboard is in
the front of the room near the door. My composition class is difficult and I do not like
to write compositions. The room is cool in warm weather and warm in winter. I like
my classroom.

WRITE

A. Think about your house or apartment in your country. It is in a city, in a small
town, or in a village? In your imagination stand in front of your house and look at
it. Then walk through it. Write a composition about your house.
