Who says work must be all
employee stories
work and no play?
Lights, camera, action… Not this
MIL movie night! group!
The ETS sector has had plenty of fun this Spring. Employees have
enjoyed Game Nights, a private MIL Movie Theater Matinée,
Board & Brush events, and fishing trips. They have figured out
that the best way to enhance performance is by providing some
fun to go along with it.
Scott Xavier, team lead, says “We took the ETS division to R/C
Theaters in Lexington Park to see Avengers: Endgame. We rented
out the auditorium to see the movie, and met prior for some light
tailgating, cornhole competitions, and just general good times.”
Go deep!
Jeff Bailey, team lead, planned a Rockfish fishing trip with Miss
Susie Charters. Although the trip was planned towards the
end of Rockfish season, Renee Green and Craig Snyder rose
to the challenge and caught one! The day was filled with good
conversation, many laughs, and Rockfish to take home for dinner!
Boards, brushes, and bonding!
Kristina Howard and Missy Stanton, with a little help from Marty
Bailey, organized an evening of team bonding at The Leonardtown
Board & Brush. This event was marketed to the ETS team as the
Mingle & Munch event and all attendees enjoyed light finger fare
with an artistic flare. Though not catered to a specific gender, this
gathering was a hit with the ladies and everyone enjoyed getting
together outside of work to have some fun, be creative and go
home with one of a kind art work.
From Team Lead Karen Hall: “Board and Brush was a fun and
relaxing event with fellow MIL employees. We all came together
and chose different boards, designs, and colors to decorate
our masterpieces of art. Each piece was unique. Lauren and I
were able to work beside each other giving us both the chance
to help each other and to socialize in a stress-free atmosphere
outside of the office. With the assistance of our Board and Brush
helper, Sam, we were able to bring out our creative sides with
no worries of messing up! We were told that no mistakes could
be made because anything could be fixed! Even though we had
individualized projects, we worked together as a team to complete
our beautiful boards. The evening was filled with fun, snacks, and
laughs along the way. Overall, this MIL evening out at Board and
Brush was a very enjoyable experience!”
CTA team lead Brandy Wooten had this to say, “The CTA team
was invited to the Board and Brush Studio in Leonardtown, MD
for a wonderful evening of creativity, and laughs. Everyone’s
projects turned out amazing!! We have some great artistic talent
in this group. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks
MIL for a great evening.”
