BENJAMIN’s fifth child, LEWIS FOY, was born in 1865 also in El Dorado,
Union County, Arkansas.
[NOTE: The Texas Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics, issued a death
certificate, under number 30871, file number 106, Aug.1, 1942 which states that
WILLIAMFRANKLIN FOY died in Falls County, Texas, in the city of Marlin,
where he had only lived 20 days. The certificate indicates he actually died on July
th
25 , 1942 of a cerebral hemorrhage complicated by coronary sclerosis and
occulism, adenomatous hypertrophy of prostate with obstruction. The interesting
thing on this certificate is the fact WILLIAM’s mother’s name is listed as POLLY
ANN WHITE, born in Tenn. The individual furnishing that information is listed
as MRS NOVA FOY of Kosse, Texas.]
The next record we find regarding BENJAMIN and his family is in 1867 at
which time BENJAMIN’s sixth child, MARY ELIZABETH FOY, was born in
Moss Springs, Limestone County, Texas. Again, one of the family stories is that
MARY ELIZABETH was born in the family barn as their house had not been
completed.
On February 24, 1870 BENJAMIN’s seventh child, ROBERT HENRY FOY, was
born in Moss Springs, Limestone County, Texas. In June of that same year the
U.S. Census had the following listing for the FOY family in Limestone County,
Texas:
BENJ F. FOY, 42, M, W, Planter
