fulfill their duties towards their creator, Allah (SAW). Marriage reduces the

frictions and emotions of sex that men always have towards women.

Legal and spiritual gratitude

A legal foundation for great families, and only place where Muslim man and

woman is allowed to do sexual intercourse, recreate and bring new human

generation. Therefore marriage is the only legal channel and legitimate outlet for

human generation. (Holy Quran) says: “And his sign is this: He created for you

mates from yourself that you might find rest in them, and He ordained, between you

love and mercy. Lo, therein indeed are portents for folk who reflect”.

Act of religion Fulfilment

Marriage is among the requirement of Islamic religion. Muslim men are urged to

marry single women in the Islamic community and also marry among them the

slaves who have dignity. (Quran 24:32) says:

“Marry among you who are single and (marry) your slaves, male and female, that

are righteous”.

Marriage is also part of Islamic Practices (fiqh). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“When the servant of Allah (SAW) marries he has fulfilled half (the responsibilities

laid on him by the) faith; so let him be God conscious with respect to the other

half,” Reported by Mishkat.
