BRONZE ‘CHILONG’ TRIPOD INCENSE
BURNER, DING
Kangxi
Standing on three short conical feet, the vessel
decorated in bright enamels on the turquoise ground
with confronting archaistic yellow dragons and lapis-
blue mythical beasts among polychrome ruyi clouds,
the rim set with two upright loop handles, the base
with a delicate design of ‘S’-scrolls encircled by a
lotus-lappet band.

BRONZE SIX-LOBED BOWL AND COVER,
ZHADOU
Late Ming Dynasty
The exterior densely decorated on the shallowly-
domed cover, wide lobed horizontal flange and
vertical side with stylised dark-blue dragons
grasping yellow and green lingzhi in their mouths,
the flange and side also with ruyi and Shou, the
base flat.
