A pair of Yixing stoneware ‘shou’ oval dishes
Jiaqing/Daoguang
Each shallowly potted with flaring sides, the central cartouche
moulded with four stylised shou characters at the compass points and
reserved on a dense keyfret-scroll ground, the stoneware of a coffee-
brown tone.
Each 8.4cm (3 3/8in) wide (2).

An Yixing stoneware applique-decorated
‘chi dragons’ dish
Jiaqing/Daoguang, signed Chen Baichang
The circular shallow dish with flaring sides, the interior applique-
decorated with five chi dragons encircling another coiled chi dragon
and an impressed four-character zhuanshu square seal mark, all
reserved on a dense keyfret-scroll ground, the stoneware of a red-
brown hue.
12cm (4 3/4in) diam.
