friends of winter’ teapot and cover
19th century
Applied with a shapely loop handle, short curved
spout and twisted C-shaped knop shaped as
gnarled branches and bamboo, all issuing further
bamboo, prunus and pine tree branches in relief,
the stoneware of a rich dark brown colour.

teapot and cover
19th century
Of quatrelobed form potted naturalistically in
the form of bamboo, applied with a pronounced
C-shaped loop handle set opposite a short curved
spout, the skilfully fitted cover surmounted by an
arched knop issuing pointed bamboo leaves,
the stoneware of a dark coffee-brown tone.
