           A JAPANESE LACQUER CABINET AND
           STAND
           Meiji Period
           Decorated to the two doors in gold hiramakie
           and takamakie with crane in flight and in a
           landscape of pine, blossoming prunus and
           bamboo, the side and top with scrolling
           foliate designs on a dense nashiji ground, the
           interior of the doors with further blossoming
           prunus and bamboo, enclosing four drawers
           with further foliate scrollwork, engraved metal
           fittings and hinges, set on a black lacquered
           stand.
           The cabinet: 105cm (41 3/8in) high x 95.5cm
           (37 5/8in) wide x 46cm (18 1/8in) deep (2).
