Of rectangular shape rising from small
cabriole legs below a shaped apron
decorated with scrollwork designs, the lower
sections composed of three doors organised
into four reticulated panels intricately carved
with carp leaping waves over a dragon gate
below pheasants among clouded moon,
flying bats and phoenixes among clouds
and a flaming pearl, blossoming lotus, pine
trees and butterflies amidst foliage, the
upper register with similar reticulated panels
depicting auspicious symbols and chilong
chasing flaming pearls, all supporting a
rectangular panel flanked by upright flanges,
most components of hongmu wood. 121cm
