                   Tsukuru,  often  read Zo^ and     Sei, or Seisii,  all meaning
              7nade  by  or made   in,  are  in  general  use wherever painted
              inscriptions  are  applied-;  sei  is the correct reading when the
              word comes     after the name of a place or year,      whilst  seisu
                  used when       follows proper    names.    These    characters
              is               it
              are seldom found     in  seal marks    or  stamps.    The various
              forms   in  which   the   words   are  written   in  the   different
              provinces   are  shown    in  the  following examples   :
