A PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE OF A COURT
LADY
Tang dynasty
Modeled standing upright, the full round face with
delicately modeled features beneath hair dressed
in the paojia style, the right hand positioned with
two fingers extended at chest level, the other
hand hidden beneath the wide sleeves, dressed
in a long robe falling in folds above her pointed,
curved shoes, covered in a white slip with details
highlighted in red and black pigments.
