A SMALL BLUE GLAZED JAR
Tang dynasty
Potted with broad shoulders rising from a flat foot
to a waisted neck terminating in a rolled everted
rim, the interior of the mouth and body applied with
a mottled blue glaze, stopping unevenly above the
foot to reveal the pale buff body.

AN AMBER GLAZED MARBLED CIRCULAR
BOX AND COVER
Tang dynasty
The box and cover with straight upright sides,
the top of the cover with a raised circular panel,
repeated on the base of the box to form the foot,
made from rolled and flattened layers of dark and
light clay, covered with a transparent amber glaze.
