The pebble-form pendant is carved with a scholar and attendant in a rocky,
mountainous landscape, the reverse carved in relief with a poem.

A PAIR OF SOAPSTONE SEALS AND A ROCK CRYSTAL
SEAL
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The square soapstone seals are each surmounted by a tortoise and the
sides are incised with poetic inscriptions. The stone is of a celadon green
and russet tone. The rock crystal seal is of square form surmounted by a
wedge, the seal face reads jiu he si tun hai, which is a poetic inscription.

The three-coloured stone is carved in the round as a smiling boy with a lingzhi
spray slung over his shoulder riding a goose with a millet spray in its beak.
