A PARCEL-GILT DRUM-FORMED TRIPOD CENSER TWO BRONZE CENSERS

The censer is modelled with four tiers and it is supported on three elephant- One censer is raised on tripod feet and is moulded with a pair of open handles
head feet. The sides are moulded with kui dragons and a pair of elephant-head
handles between bands of raised nodes. that sweep upward from the rim. The other censer is decorated with various
3æ in. (9.5 cm.) high, wood stand
decorative bands and the sides have two stylised animal-mask handles. Each
censer is cast with an apocryphal Xuande mark within a recessed rectangle.
