PINES AND BAMBOO.

Japan. Edo period (1603 - 1868).

Pigments, shell lime (gofun) white and ink
with gold speckles on paper. Under an
old pine a couple of dancing cranes with
two chicks. A little, further another crane
calling out for its flying partner. On the
left, a bamboo grows behind rocks, on
the right some young pines (wakamatsu).
Six - part. Picture size 350 x 125cm.
Complete size 368 x 140cm. Sign.: Eisa
