The right closure robe widening towards the hem, lined with a
matching high collar band, the fabric decorated with dragons striding
through clouds, and heightened in gold swastika and floral designs,
blue cotton lining to the interior.

A BROCADE-WOVEN DRAGON ROBE
Republic period
Each decorated with five-clawed dragons pursuing flaming pearls
amid clouds, precious Daoist symbols, and cranes in flight, all above
turbulent waves surrounding terrestrial diagrams and a wide lishui
border, with neck bands and sleeve bands en suite on a black ground.

Late Qing/Republic period
Designed with a right side opening, tall standing collar, embroidered in
619 gilt-wrapped threads and satin stitches with large shou medallions and
graceful orchids, outlined with a floral ribbon and a black ground silk
band with similar embroidery work.
