           A KESI-WOVEN SILK DRAGON ROBE
           Late 18th/19th century
           Intricately woven in thin gilt-wrapped threads and multiple colors on
           a faded blue ground to depict nine dragons surrounded by clouds,
           bats, lotuses, and other Buddhist emblems, all above crashing waves,
           soaring mountain peaks, and a tall lishui border, the neck bands woven
           en suite on a black ground.

           AN EMBROIDERED YELLOW GROUND WOMEN’S OUTER
           DRAGON ROBE
           Late 19th century
           Constructed with a center front opening, embroidered in gilt-wrapped
           threads with dragons contesting flaming pearls on the front, shoulders
           and the back amid cloud scrolls, bats, auspicious emblems and
           flowers above rolling waves, terrestrial peaks, and a tall lishui border,
           the blue ground collar decorated with additional dragons, the sleeves
           terminating with bands embroidered with flowers and auspicious fruits.

           A WOMAN’S EMBROIDERED GREEN SILK ROBE
           Early 20th century
           The right closure robe worked in bright silk threads embroidered with   629
           large peony blossoms and butterflies, lined with yellow silk brocade
           and black silk bands decorated with birds, and additional flowers and
           butterflies.
